Yesterday, Brooklyn Magazine featured a series of posts about how people in Brooklyn dress.
I flipped to my neighborhood (Carroll Gardens / Cobble Hill), and saw a series of people who dressed exactly like those in Williamsburg, and Greenpoint, and Flatbush…you get the picture. Personally, I don’t think they mix it up very well on that site. Why do I keep reading it? I don’t know. It’s obvious they target a specific demographic, and that’s fine.
But there are many of us in Brooklyn who still prefer a simpler way of dressing. Some call it trad. Others call it preppy. Some may say boring. I like to keep things simple.
Anyway, here’s what mine may have said had they seen me, and asked me.
Jack of Clubs, 38, DUMBO
